The best laid plans of mice and men often go to pooh. I was thinking I would be able to get the Haas & Bauer family histories written by this Christmas.

I just got several packages of data from the researcher I hired (from her trip to Germany). This could be a lifetime project just trying to figure how to write up this data. Here is a brief summary of some of the things that she sent me.

1. Both the Haas and Bauer family lines are back to the 1600's
2. I have 13 copies of old documents for the Haas family
3. I have 23 copies of old documents for the Bauer family
4. For the Haas side I have excellent detail information from marriage documents
5. For the Haas side I have photos that the researcher took in Germany
6. For the Bauer side we have a murderer (he lost his head over this)

I have enclosed preliminary family trees. I have to check and double check the information I got

because every time I look at a page I see something new.

Again, everything I have will eventually be put on CD disks and available to anyone.

A lot of the family research information that I have is on my website. You might want

to check out the stuff from the Plain History Genealogy Group. (For you english experts, yes I know it should be the Plain Historical Genealogical Group, but I can't say these big words. Also there is no AND between History Genealogy. I didn't want people to call our group a bunch of PHAGGs.)
